This custom porch with a screened in dining area is one of several ongoing renovation and property enhancement projects for this particular property. It was designed and built on a pre-existing salt box home.
The porch space consists of a sitting area with ample floor space for outside entertaining as well as recessed canned lighting, while the dining area boasts space to seat up to 10 people. Both areas are equipped with overhead electric heat to take the edge off the cool Vermont evenings.
The focus of this project was to enhance the ordinary look of the home, while also gaining usable space with an aesthetically pleasing appearance.
This pool and poolhouse combination is another piece of an ongoing property enhancement project. It was designed and built to act as an at home oasis for family time as well as to entertain guests.
The pool is 16 feet wide by 44 feet long, with depths ranging from 3 to 8 feet. It is surrounded by nearly 1700 square feet of blue stone patio, accented by a Corinthian granite veneered retaining wall and wet bar.
The poolhouse contains under bench storage areas, a changing room, sitting area and a loft that could be used for an afternoon nap as well as an overnight stay.
The layout of this property consists of a custom home and garage as well as a workshop and pool area. This three bedroom home has a screened in porch with a recessed hot tub overlooking Lake Champlain.
The one of a kind kitchen in this home was created and installed by a local custom woodworking shop. It includes a teapot display in the upper cabinets, a walk through pantry and custom built in desk.
The basement was designed for entertaining guests with its TV room, arcade and direct access to the pool area.
The pool patio and walkways are printed concrete.
The sewing shop, adjacent to the pool, includes a full bathroom along with approximately 400 square feet of workspace.
The garage was custom designed to store a 40 foot RV along with the space for a commuter vehicle.
The foundation for this custom home was specifically engineered to retain the high water levels of Lake Champlain in the Spring months.
This dual purpose building was designed to function as a full scale motor-cross performance shop with an apartment above.
The nearly 1600 square foot ground level of this building consists of office space, a work shop and a room specifically constructed for a chassis diagnostic machine.
An approximate 1000 square foot, one bedroom apartment occupies the second story. The large bedroom, full bath and laundry space compliment the generous sized, open floor plan lay out of the kitchen, dining and living area.
This 12' x 24' screened in porch replaced the original 12' x 12' deck. The space was designed to add seasonal living space to the home as well as a comfortable outdoor area for summertime entertainment.
The client's concern was that the added space not compromise the aesthetic value of the house.
The floor to ceiling screens are both durable and all season. The V-Match pine ceiling is accented by recessed canned lighting and the custom screened door includes a pet entrance in it's lower panel.
